Privacy Policy
The current Android release works offline. It does not send your game progress or personal information to the developer, and it contains no advertising or analytics SDK.
This policy covers Finger in a Hole, including Android release 8.28.16, published by Brandon Feltner. Its Android application ID is com.brandonfeltner.fingerinahole.
Information used by the game
The game stores information locally to save your progress and preferences. This includes scores, earned points, unlocked cosmetics and music, achievements, challenge progress, World Tour progress, gameplay statistics, settings, and tutorial completion. An optional ghost replay stores gameplay movement and scoring information locally.
The game does not require an account or request your name, email address, location, contacts, photos, camera, or microphone. Announcer recordings and music are included with the game; the game does not record your voice. This release does not include real-money purchases, advertising identifiers, third-party advertising, or third-party analytics.
Backups and device permissions
You can choose to create a backup code and copy it to your clipboard, or paste a code to restore progress. The code contains game progress, not an account login, and does not include the optional ghost recording. Copying a code happens only when you select the copy action; the game does not monitor your clipboard.
Keep backup codes private. Anyone you share a code with can import the progress it contains. Any service you choose to store or send a code through handles it under that service’s own privacy policy. This release does not provide automatic cloud sync and disables Android’s automatic app backup.
The game uses Android’s vibration permission for optional haptic feedback. You can turn haptics off in the game settings.
If you contact us
If you email Fingerinahole@yahoo.com, your email address, message, and any attachments you choose to send are used to respond to your inquiry, troubleshoot a problem, or address a privacy request. Please do not send passwords or unnecessary sensitive information.
Email is processed through the email provider. Support information is not sold or used for targeted advertising. It may be handled by service providers needed to deliver email, or disclosed when required by law. Support correspondence is retained only as long as needed to address the inquiry and any applicable legal obligations. You can request deletion by emailing the address above.
Retention and deletion
Local game data remains on your device until you clear the app’s storage or uninstall the app. To delete it, open Android Settings, find Finger in a Hole under Apps, and choose the option to clear storage or app data. This removes your local progress and settings. Android menu names may vary.
Backup codes you saved elsewhere remain until you delete those copies. The developer cannot remotely access, recover, or delete progress stored only on your device.
Security
The game uses Android’s app storage protections and serves its gameplay files from packaged, local assets. It does not transmit local game data to a developer-operated server. Protect your device and any backup codes you export. No device, email service, or storage method can be guaranteed completely secure.
Platform services and this webpage
Google Play, Android, your email provider, and the hosting provider for this webpage may process information needed to operate their own services under their own privacy policies. For example, Google may process installation or diagnostic information according to your platform settings. This is separate from the game’s local storage.
This policy page does not include advertising or analytics scripts. Its hosting infrastructure may process technical request information, such as an IP address and browser details, to deliver and protect the page.
Children’s privacy
The game does not ask children to submit personal information and does not transmit their gameplay data to the developer. If you believe a child has provided personal information through a support message, contact us so we can address it and delete it as appropriate.
Changes to this policy
If the game’s data practices change, this page will be updated with a new effective date. Material changes will also be disclosed where required. This policy describes the current offline release; future online features would require updated disclosures.
